안녕하세요 물결 타는 사람들! 다시 만나서 반가워요!
Hello Wave Riders! It’s good to see you again!

Once again, it’s time for JaKWOW! JaK’s Word of the Week; KOREAN EDITION!

Every Friday is language day here at JaK Wave, so we bring to you a word or phrase that we JaKs think you should know! Some are useful for everyday situations, some will help if you visit Korea, or go to a restaurant, and others will just be for fun! And we want to know what you Wave Riders would like to learn! Please leave your suggestions and requests down below in the comments, or on our official Facebook page.

This week, we look at the Months of the Year!

The months in Korean follow a numerical pattern, as opposed to the unique names we have in English. They use the Sino-Korean number system to indicate which month it is. Each name starts with the number, and is followed by ‘umerals. Each month, starting in January, is represented as a number followed by ‘월’ [-il], meaning ‘month’.

Take a look below at the flashcards!

Click on the word to hear its pronunciation, and click on the card itself to flip it over to its translation! Use the arrows to view the next Flashcard!

Remember, you can use the above widgets to access other learning tools in the drop-down menu to commit these to memory!

And that is our WOW for now!

Come back next week for another instalment of JaKWOW – K-Edition!

안녕히 가세요, 친구들! 다음에 또 뵙겠습니다~!
Goodbye, Friends! See you next time~!
